BIOGRAPHY

Mr Grover works as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon within the NHS at the North West London Cancer Service. In addition to his NHS appointment he also runs a private practice in Harley Street specialising in Aesthetic Surgery and operates at The King Edward VII Hospital which is a modern and exclusive private hospital in central London renowned for its Charter to serve the Royal Family.

Mr Grover has published internationally in the field of Plastic Surgery (over 50 scientific publications and book chapters) including a number of papers in the UK and USA on improving safety and enhancing outcome after cosmetic surgery. In 2004 he was invited to sit on the council of The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and is responsible for the UK national audit of cosmetic surgery and safety through the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr Grover graduated in Medicine with a triple distinction from London University in 1989. In 1993 he became a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons having been awarded the Hallett Prize and Gold Medal for the highest score in the United Kingdom. He then entered 8 years of higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery during which he was awarded a scholarship from the Royal College of Surgeons to train at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. In addition to being awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) by London University in 1998 he was appointed as a Hunterian Professor at The Royal College of Surgeons.

At the completion of his training he was awarded the FRCS (Plast) by the Royal College of Surgeons and admitted to the GMC's specialist register (Registration Number 3333666). He is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS).

During his career he has been awarded several national and international awards. These include the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS medal 1996 and 1999) and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS Gold medal 2000). For his work in the field of Aesthetic Surgery he has twice been awarded the Hackett Memorial Prize (1997 and 2000) by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). In 2001 Mr Grover was awarded the Mentor Prize in Aesthetic Surgery for his published work on improving safety in the field of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (British Journal of Plastic Surgery).
