Safety is probably the most important consideration when undertaking any form of cosmetic surgery. Mr Grover will provide you with a friendly and honest opinion regarding your suitability for surgery both in terms of your medical safety and any surgical risks associated with the procedure. If he feels that the risks out way the benefits, he will always explain why surgery may not be in your best interest.

Mr Grover has a particular interest in improving safety following cosmetic surgery and in 2004 he was invited to sit on the council of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) with responsibility for the UK National Audit of Cosmetic Surgery and Safety performed through the Royal College of Surgeons. The results of this audit are published each year and quoted on Television News and by the British Press.

Since being elected as a council member of BAAPS in 2004 Mr Grover has served as the Secretary of the Association (2006 to 2010), President Elect (2010 to 2013) and as the President of BAAPS from 2012 to 2014. During his time on council he has worked with The Medical Defence Union to look at all cases of Medical Negligence in Plastic Surgery over a 14 year period in the United Kingdom in order to produce guidelines to help surgeons improve safety following Cosmetic Surgery. The findings of this study were published in the Journal of Clinical Risk and also developed into safety proformas which can now be used by BAAPS surgeons nationally.

Particular attention is given to safe anaesthesia which is always performed by one of Mr Groverís two regular Consultant Anaesthetists. Both of them hold NHS Consultant appointments at University College Hospital as well as working in Private Practice with Mr Grover at King Edward VII Hospital. Both have worked with Mr Grover for over 10 years and are experienced in anaesthetic techniques for Plastic Surgery. As an indication of his trust in these two Anaesthetists, Mr Grover personally requested that one of them put him to sleep when he underwent surgery to his elbow in 2006. These two Anaesthetists are professionals he trusts totally and you can be reassured they will take excellent care of you as a patient just as they did for him!
